EUREKA AREA FLOOD RELIEF EFFORT INFO:
EUMC is teaming up with the Eureka Disaster Relief Committee to carry out an adult local mission service project every second Saturday of each month. Examples of projects include drywall replacement, clean up, flooring, light carpentry etc.
We are not planning any mission work for the month of July 2018. We currently have no families waiting for help, like urgently needing a new place to live or or emergency rebuilding.
The work will be transitioning to work more in line with helping people remain in their homes and general repairs (e.g. our last mission in June involved helping people obtain occupancy permits for their mobile homes by repairing roofs and replacing windows). If you know someone in the community struggling and needing help let us know.
In August we may help Eureka Disaster Recovery again depending on what they have planned.
Most likely we will do a mission right in the Eureka United Methodist Church's fellowship hall. The fellowship hall is used as a resource space for many groups in the community (e.g. boy scouts, adult exercise, square dancing, the Eureka football team boosters, Mother's day out, our monthly mission dinners etc etc) and it needs holes repaired in the walls, a fresh coat of paint, ceiling tiles replaced, the bathrooms updated and the floor stripped and a fresh coat of wax applied. We have tentatively planned Aug 11-12 and/or Aug 18-19.
We accommodate all schedules and work around your schedule. More details to come soon.
