Come and celebrate the Passover, part of our Christian heritage, and be reminded of how God keeps his promises.

Discover how Jesus used this meal to explain His sacrifice to his disciples, and why He chose the bread and wine to symbolize His body and blood as God kept His ultimate promise.

Easter Egg Hunt:  Save the Date!  

It will be springtime before you know it, and we are already planning for our 2026 Easter Egg Hunt!  We will be gathering at Berry Park on Sunday, March 29th, from 1-3.  The Hunt will begin at 1:30.

This is a huge event every year, and we are accepting candy filled egg donations!

Good News! We are out of the weather this time!!

During Build Days, we like to make the most of our time for efficiency’s sake, but we also like everyone to have fun! Volunteers age 12+ help build our beds, so the entire process is very family friendly and provides a great experience for many ages.

Experienced volunteers will teach you the different stages of the construction process and then assign you to a station. Experiencing the buzz, energy, and excitement of dozens of volunteers throughout all the stations working side-by-side is super fun. And at the end of the event, what was once a giant pile of lumber is now components that SHP can use to get a local child off the floor and into a bed of their very own!

Ash Wednesday Worship Service

Wednesday, February 18th at 7:00 pm

We will begin the season of preparation known as Lent with a powerful worship service of remembrance and repentance based on Psalm 51. All are invited and childcare is provided!

The Women of Worship (WOW) and Momentum Men’s Group are excited to invite you to our Annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 PM at the Eureka Community Center (William F. “Bud” Weber Community Center), located at 333 Bald Hill Road, Eureka, MO 63025.

The River will be gathering for THREE CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES on Wednesday, December 24th!

Our 3 pm and 5 pm worship services will include a special children’s moment along with inspiring Christmas praise and worship music led by our praise team.

Our 7 pm worship service will include a special children’s moment along with beautiful traditional Christmas hymns led by our choir.

All three services will end with the singing of Silent Night by candlelight. There will be nursery care for children ages birth through two years old.

For some, the Christmas season is challenging. Perhaps you are grieving the loss of a loved one and this is the first Christmas where they will not be present around the dinner table. Or maybe this season of joy has been interrupted by illness, a difficult prognosis, or financial stress. Whatever may have you feeling 'blue' this Christmas, our Blue Christmas service is a sacred space to bring it all before Jesus. All are welcome to join us at this solemn service of prayer and healing

We are excited to welcome Randall Broadhead from WE ARE VESSEL to Celebrate Recovery at The River and The River at Eureka for a special evening of music and testimony!

This event will cover a bed build and all the necessary shifts.

Purpose

Come and get a little sweaty and dusty but leave knowing you're having a direct impact in helping kids in our community get their OWN BED!

This project brings people closer together as we are all focused on the same goal, helping children in our community Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Role

NO EXPERIENCE necessary!!

Volunteers will be sanding......drilling....assembling.....staining.....and branding....wood components of a bed.

Annual Soup Fundraiser - Spoonful of Hope Fundraiser

November will be here before we know it and that means soup!  This event allows us to adopt a family for Christmas with the proceeds from the fundraiser.  Our goal is to raise $1,000 this year.  Please consider signing up to serve, donate a soup, or a dessert.  The event will be on November 2nd.

The River will celebrate and thank the Eureka Fire Protection District and Eureka Police Department by hosting our second First Responder Dinner. We are very fortunate to have such kind, caring, and committed individuals who serve and protect our community. We think it is important to let our first responders know how important they are to us.
