Though Christmas is undeniably a season of joyous festivities, it can also stir memories of heartrending losses, particularly as we confront the stark reality of vacant chairs at the dinner table. Our Blue Christmas Service offers a sacred space and time where one can bring their grief, their sense of loss, their solitude, and their disappointments into the comforting presence of Jesus. In this sacred space, we courageously acknowledge our sorrow, we pay heartfelt tribute to those who are no longer physically present with us, and we reaffirm the profound hope that we find in Jesus.

There is currently a need for 39 beds for children in Robertsville–less than 20 miles from The River at Eureka. Here’s the good news, you can be the hands and feet of Jesus to provide these beds by investing a few hours of your time on Saturday, September 21st at a bed build event in Union, MO.
The River at Eureka is having its first formal event for youth as homecoming dances are upon us. We will have dresses, shoes, accessories, suits, dress shirts, ties, and shoes to choose from. These events will be held in the lower level at the River @ Eureka (215 N. Central Ave.)
Monday, September 16th, 4-8pm
Please spread the word. It is amazing watching the teenagers who come into these events a little hesitant and maybe embarrassed and walk out with a huge smile. This is possible because of you and our church community. Thank you!

WOW (Women of Worship) is kicking off our Annual Gift Card Drive early this year! Our church leadership team often hands out gift cards to people in need, sometimes our church members, but also folks who just need a helping hand when they have fallen on hard times. This gift card drive has traditionally been held around the Christmas holiday as this is a time of great need. This year, WOW is holding this gift card drive a bit earlier, in hopes of not crushing Christmas time budgets.
Please see our autumnal tree in the Commons starting Sept. 15. Take a leaf (or several!), purchase the requested gift card and drop both your leaf and the gift card into the giving box under the tree. This campaign will run for the next 6 weeks and we need generous giving to get our leaders and community through the holiday season. Thank you in advance to all who can participate.
"Generous persons will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." Proverbs 11:25
Exact specifics will be updated as the date draws near.
Looking for additional chaperones, Mom/Dad you want to come too?
Questions, reach out to Renee or Andy Smola
We are hosting 3 events soon for those who need assistance and wishing to go to winter formal, homecoming, and prom. We are collecting formal dresses, shoes, and purses. But that’s not all… Why should we leave the young men out? We are also collecting business suits, ties, belts, and shoes for young men.
High school formals can be expensive and are often a luxury some do not get to enjoy. All who wish should be able to be a princess or a prince for the evening. Let’s make this a HUGE event… Share it with everyone you know.
You can drop these items off at the River at Eureka at 225 N. Central Ave, Eureka or contact Renee and she will arrange to meet you somewhere to collect items. We are collecting items through September 15, 2024.
