Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Eureka Chapter

We build beds for children who need them,
right here in our own community.

All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. In Missouri and across the US, too many boys and girls go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health.

That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace comes in. We’re a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need.

We’re the Eureka chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), a nonprofit that builds and delivers handmade beds to children who don’t have one. With help from generous volunteers and donors, we provide not just a bed, but a safe place to sleep and grow.

At Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), we believe service is about much more than constructing beds for kids in need. Our mission of NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN! extends to building communities, transforming lives, and creating opportunities for personal growth and learning. Every bed we build demonstrates the power of service and the incredible potential that emerges when people come together with a shared purpose.

While many wonderful charities provide clothing, meals, and toys, very few focus on a child's basic need for a proper bed. At Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), we believe a bed is essential for a child’s physical, emotional, and mental development. We are a national organization tackling a national problem right here in our local community.

What We Do

We build beds, deliver hope, and change lives through three core operations:

  • Build Days: Hands-on events where volunteers of all ages assemble beds in just a few hours.

  • Bed Deliveries: High-impact days where we deliver brand-new beds directly to excited children.

  • Community Partnerships: Active collaboration with local churches, schools, civic groups, and businesses.

Who We Are

We are a national nonprofit dedicated to building, assembling, and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need.

  • Driven by Locals: Our Eureka chapter is entirely led by local volunteers.

  • Meeting the Need: Too many neighborhood children sleep on couches, floors, or share beds due to financial hardships.

  • Our Ultimate Goal: We aim to change those circumstances—one single bed at a time.
