After a season of conversation, evaluation, discernment and prayer, the Monthly Mission Dinners will end following the last Mission Dinner meal on Monday, October 15, 2018. We are so grateful for the leadership the Mission Dinner Team has provided during the last seven years and all those who have participated. These monthly meals have provided wonderful opportunities for members and friends of Eureka UMC to truly be the hands and feet of Christ. God has used these monthly Mission Dinners to help countless persons find encouragement and a connection to the family of God. We are exploring new ways to build on this legacy and to meet the changing needs of our community so that we may continue to be faithful in making news disciples of Jesus for the transformation of the world!
We invite everyone that has ever prepared meals, served, donated desserts, and assisted with set up or clean up for the Mission Dinners to join us for a special celebration of ministry during either worship service on Sunday, October 14th.
Finances. Money. Wealth. Possessions. God's Word has plenty to say about these things.
This Sunday we will consider the life of Solomon, a man of great wisdom and wealth, and
look at his quest for fulfillment in his life. He experienced a break-thru in his life regarding his
pursuit of fulfillment through money, wealth, and possessions. How can this break-thru speak
to us today? How can it lead to a Financial Break-thru in our lives? Let's find out together on Sunday! Pastor Tim will be preaching from 1 Timothy 6:6-11 and sharing a message titled, "Act Your Wage"
8:30 am Traditional Service:
To God be the Glory
Lord, I Want to be a Christian
Bless Thou the Gifts
9:45 am Contemporary Service (and Live Stream on Facebook Live)
Holding on to You
I Will Follow
Our JAM (Jesus and Me) Children's Ministry meets at 9:45 am for children ages 3 years old through the fifth grade.
Childcare is available for children birth through 2 years old in our nursery during both worship service times on Sunday mornings.
What would happen if we engaged some of the practical, biblical wisdom about finances into our personal lives? We will explore some of these passages in this series intended to help families and individuals experience a financial break thru in their lives!
September 30, "Act Your Wage"
Next month, we will begin a new sermon series that will explore what it looks like to live "A Life that Leads".
In order to lead, we must first follow Jesus. We will be considering some of the basic practices of
the Christian faith and how they can transform us towards the likeness of Christ.
