EUMC News! (May 3rd, 2018)

wierd stuff.jpg

Let's be honest, you've probably heard or read something that's in the Bible and thought to yourself, "that's weird." You may even begin to wonder why this seemingly weird story is even part of God's Word. This begs the question, "why is this weird stuff in the Bible anyway? What does it mean? How can this possibly speak to my life in 2018?"

We are beginning a new series in May titled "Weird Stuff in the Bible". During the next few weeks we will unpack four different weird stories. We will begin this Sunday, May 6th with "Where Did You Lose It?" as we consider the floating axe head from 2 Kings 6:1-7; now that qualifies as weird!

We gather for two unique expressions of worship on Sunday mornings; we invite you and your family to join us at either one of these worship services

 8:30 am Traditional Service:

158 Come Christian Come and Sing
504 The Old Rugged Cross
601 Thy Word

9:45 am Contemporary Service (and Live Stream on Facebook Live)

Worship Songs:

Your Love Never Fails
Love the Lord
God With Us
All the People Said Amen

Our JAM (Jesus and Me) Children's Ministry meets at 9:45 am for children ages 3 years old through the fifth grade.

Childcare is available for children birth through 2 years old in our nursery during both worship service times on Sunday mornings.

subsplash giving.jpg

Did you know that you can give to the life changing ministries of Eureka UMC through your smartphone? We recently launched our new SubSplash giving platform through our mobile app. It takes less than two minutes to set up an account through the mobile app and from there giving is simple! You can set up a recurring gift (i.e. weekly or monthly) and also make 'one time' gifts with a simple click on your smart device. Your continued, generous financial support of the ministries at Eureka UMC is greatly appreciated, is making a difference, and will allow us to fuel our Mission of 'making new disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.'

We will be honoring our graduating High School Seniors on Sunday, May 20th during our 9:45 service.  Seniors and their families are also invited to a complimentary lunch afterwards at Poor Richards.  If you could let us know how many in your family will join us that would be helpful! Lunch will begin at 11:30 am.

If you are a parent of a graduating senior and would like more information, please contact Jenny Babb at
