The River at Eureka News! (Aug 2nd, 2019)

Our Vision:

Connecting Hearts, Thriving Together, Overflowing into the World

Our Mission:

To make new disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” -Jesus in John 7:38 ESV-

"Wherever the river flows, life will flourish—great schools of fish—because the river is turning the salt sea into fresh water. Where the river flows, life abounds." Ezekiel 47:9 MSG

Save the date! August 4th is our next fundraising day at Raising Cane's. Our fist fundraising event at Raising Cane's was very successful last month! The store manager said it was one of the most successful fundraisers for them so far this year. Just by eating at Raising Cane's and mentioning that you are with Eureka United Methodist Church, they will donate 15% back to us. We just received a check from Raising Cane's for $217.00 to benefit our Celebrate Recovery ministry! Raising Cane's is located at:

15698 Manchester Road in Ellisville.

This Sunday's fundraiser will benefit our amazing Children's Ministry!

We were privileged to welcome 170 children AND their families to our amazing Eagle Lake Camp! LIVES. WERE. CHANGED.

God is so good!

Many thanks to the Camp Staff, the EUMC Staff, too many volunteers to name, and even the pastor and volunteers from Lewis Memorial Chapel UMC in nearby Crescent that served to ensure that we could provide this amazing camp and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our community!

Grace and peace,

This Sunday, August 4th

Pastor Tim will conclude the "Dust" series on Sunday. This series  focuses on the teachings of Jesus from Matthew 4:19 and what it means to be a disciple, a follower, of Jesus. During the four weeks of this series, Pastor Tim will also be sharing the four principle components of the new Discipleship Pathway developed by the Discipleship Pathway team over the past 10 months.

This Sunday, we will consider the fourth component of discipleship that Jesus teaches from Matthew 4:19, "...fishers of people...", an invitation to LEAD.

Worship Service times are at 8:30 am and 9:45 am

JAM Children's Ministry gathers at 9:45 am (children ages 3 through the 5th grade)

Our new Family Room Worship Site gathers at 9:45 am

Childcare is available during both worship services for children birth through 2 years old.

Jesus lived in a world where being a disciple, following and learning from a Rabbi (Teacher), meant following so closely that the disciple would be covered with the dust of the Rabbi. With each foot step of the Rabbi, the dust would cling to the disciple. We are still called to be disciples, to follow Jesus closely, to be covered in His dust. The "Dust" sermon series will challenge us to follow Jesus more closely as we also share the new discipleship pathway that our amazing team has been discerning and creating over the past nine months.

August 4, "Lead"

"The River"

Rivers are significant in our region and very significant in God's Word. Jesus reminds us what a life in him looks like, " Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” (John 7:38 ESV)

Rivers connect, life thrives along rivers, and at times rivers overflow and change the landscape around them. During this three week series, we will dive deep into God's Word, recall the new vision God is calling us to live into, and be challenged to answer the unique call God has placed on each of our lives.

August 11th, "Discover" (this is the launch date of The River at Eureka)

August 18th, "Develop"

August 25th, "Deploy"

*We will be gathering at the Lord's Table each Sunday during The River  sermon series.

good and beautiful god.jpg

September 15           "God is Trustworthy"

September 22           "God is Generous"

September 29           "God is Love"

October 6                  "God is Holy"

October 13                "God is Self Sacrificing"

October 20                "God Transforms"

Children's Ministry News

Our theme for the month of August is OBEDIENCE and is based on 2 John 1:6, "And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment just as you have heard it from the beginning—you must walk in it." (NRSV)

Introducing the new name of our Children's Ministry...
